Cinestill 800T (Tungsten) colour negative film / 35mm / 36 exposures
Cinestill 800Tungsten is a unique colour film for still photographers. This 800 ISO colour negative film with tungsten balance is based on the same film technology used by top cinematographers. Optimised for difficult low-light tungsten conditions, the film is versatile enough for different lighting environments, allowing photographers to achieve a range of looks.
Thanks to an improved manufacturing process, 800T now has a longer shelf life and less noticeable artefacts after the shelf life has expired. When developed with C-41 chemistry, it delivers a complementary contrast curve suitable for optical printing on RA-4 paper. Photographers can treat this film as an 800 ISO option for C-41 processing and up process it to 3200 ISO if required.
Key features of the film include a colour negative cinema emulsion, compatibility with C-41 photo lab processing (without a remjet carrier) and an acetate base that creates a subtle halo effect. Available in 35mm format with 36 exposures, this film is ideal for low-light tungsten settings and can be push-developed to higher ISOs. The film is factory-wound in DX-coded steel cassettes.
In daylight, we recommend using an 85B filter and/or setting ISO to 400-500.
